Casanova (Amatic)
Additional Details
Everyone is familiar with the term Casanova, but how much do you really know about the real-life man? Giacomo Girolamo Casanova was born in Venice in 1725 and grew up to become an author and adventurer. His autobiography, Story of My Life (translated from the original, Histoire de ma vie), is widely regarded to be one of the most valuable sources of information on the life of European nobility in the 18th century. Casanova went by a variety of different names, and socialised with the likes of Mozart, Voltaire and Goethe. He is best known today for his many romantic relationships, which is why his name has become synonymous with the word womaniser.
